Join the Nantahala Hiking Club on Saturday July 28 as they work to maintain the Appalachian Trail. Projects may include shelter and campsite improvements, cleaning drains, or lopping brush. All necessary tools and training will be provided. Bring a lunch, sun protection, work gloves, and lots of water. Wear sturdy boots and long pants.
Volunteers will meet at the Nantahala Hiking Club Clubhouse at 173 Carl Slagle Road in Franklin at 9 am. The work day will conclude around 5 pm.
